Description
The three marble Corinthian columns of the Temple of Apollo Sosianus (aka the Apollinar) in Rome, Italy. The arches to the left of the columns are part of the Theater of Marcellus facade. A temple dedicated to Apollo on this site was first recorded in mid 5th century BC. The temple was rebuilt several times over the next few hundred years with the current structure attributed to it's most recent rebuild by Gaius Sosias during the reign of Augustus in 34BC. Black and white.
