Many thanks to the latest buyer from Bergenfield, New Jersey!

Artist's Description

Lighthouse of Ballycotton Harbour, County Cork Ireland, through a hole in an old village stone wall. More Ballycotton imagery is available in my Ballycotton Ireland gallery.

Ballycotton is an Irish seaside resort village in County Cork, Ireland, located about 25 miles east of the city of Cork. Ballycotton, a popular fishing village, sits on a rocky cliff overlooking Ballycotton Bay and has a sandy beach that stretches for about 16 miles east to Knockadoon Head. The current village is actually a re-settlement of an older village which is now entirely underwater. Ballycotton experiences severe coastal erosion with metres of land crumbling into the sea every few years.
