Description
The Mary Colter-designed Desert View Indian Watchtower near sunset standing on the edge of the South Rim in Grand Canyon National Park. Built in 1932 to mimic prehistoric Indian towers, this landmark has become an icon of Grand Canyon National Park. The Colorado River can be seen winding its way through the bottom of the world-famous gorge from this vantage point. Many more Grand Canyon images and digital art can be found in my Grand Canyon gallery. Black and white. Original photograph enhanced using a technique known as "vivid". Be sure to use the zoom feature to see the technique up close. Like this technique? More "vivid" digital art can be found in my gallery of the same name.
