Baroque coral stone fountain on the Vizcaya Mansion Museum botanical garden grounds in Coconut Grove on Biscayne Bay in South Florida near Miami, USA. Square format. More South Florida images can be found in my galleries.
Vizcaya, now named the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, is the former villa and estate of businessman James Deering, of the Deering McCormick-International Harvester fortune, on Biscayne Bay in the present day Coconut Grove neighborhood of Miami, Florida. The early 20th century Vizcaya estate also includes: extensive Italian Renaissance gardens; native woodland landscape; and a historic village outbuildings compound. The landscape and architecture were influenced by Veneto and Tuscan Italian Renaissance models and designed in the Mediterranean Revival architecture style, with Baroque elements. Paul Chalfin was the design director.
Miami-Dade County now owns the Vizcaya property, as the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, which is open to the public.

Travel-inspired (mostly) Fine Art & Photography published by the likes of Fodors, Travel+Leisure, Southern Living, Smithsonian, Forbes & TIME. I also use my images as source material to create digital art. We travel to places not just to see them, but to experience them. I take pictures to help me remember my experiences. My hope is that my imagery inspires experiential travel to places you might not have called on yet, or, if you have, helps you remember your own experiences. Thanks much for stopping by.
