Description
Famous La Rogativa public sculpture in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico. It means "The Procession" and commemorates a religious procession in 1797 that famously deterred a British attack. According to the story, Sir Ralph Abercrombie saw the procession, mistook it for a troop of Spanish reinforcements and cancelled the planned attack on the city. More Puerto Rico images can be found in my galleries. Original photograph enhanced using a technique known as "glowing edges". Be sure to use the zoom feature to see the technique up close.
