Traditional blue Georgian-style door in the heart of downtown Dublin, Ireland.

Color Splash black and white. The door is in it's natural color while all else is in black and white.

An extensive library of imagery from Ireland is available in my galleries. This image is part of my Dublin Ireland Gallery and my Color Splash Gallery.

The Georgian Dublin time period (1714-1830) is a time period that marks the architectural style of the city's buildings and also marks the beginning reign of King George I to the death of King George IV. During this time, Dublin became very prosperous while becoming the largest city in the British Empire behind London. As the city grew in wealth, more development occurred outside the city center. The new Georgian homes being developed beyond the medieval town, though, were given strict architectural guidelines.
