Description
Famous La Rogativa public sculpture in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico. It means "The Procession" and commemorates a religious procession in 1797 that famously deterred a British attack. According to the story, Sir Ralph Abercrombie saw the procession, mistook it for a troop of Spanish reinforcements and cancelled the planned attack on the city. More Puerto Rico images can be found in my galleries. Black and White. Original photograph enhanced using a technique known as "line art". Be sure to use the zoom feature to see the technique up close. Like this technique? More "line art" digital art can be found in my gallery of the same name.
